How We Explain Features

Curious Button Frenzy is a small, independent tutorial studio in Manchester. We write for everyday phone users who want their devices to do a little more with a little less fuss.

Our method, step by step

  1. Start with an outcome. Every guide answers "what will this save me?" before naming a setting.
  2. Test on real devices. We check steps on at least one current Google Pixel, one Samsung Galaxy and one iPhone, plus Windows and macOS for desktop shortcuts.
  3. Write the undo first. If we cannot explain how to reverse a change cleanly, we do not publish it.
  4. State the caveats. Each section lists the minimum Android or iOS version and any model or region limits.
  5. Revisit after releases. We review guides after each major Android and iOS release and note the date we last checked.

Independent

We are not affiliated with Apple, Google, Samsung, Microsoft or Mozilla, and we do not accept payment to feature apps or settings.

Plain language

We call features overlooked, not secret, and use the exact menu names you will see on screen.

Abstract imagery

Our 3D illustrations support the written steps. They are not exact operating-system screenshots, so always follow the text.
